  • Put your cell phone on speaker and place it next to the patient.
  • Look at the patient’s chest for rise and fall.
  • Begin compressions — pushing hard and fast.
  • Continue compressions until the AED tells you to 'not touch the patient for analysis'
  • They are safe for use when instructions are followed, and will direct rescuers not to touch the patient when shocking, to ensure that only the victim/patient will be shocked if indicated.
