New York State Office of the Professions for nurses accepts our ANCC COURSES because there are no specific requirements or restrictions.
NY State Education Department Office of the Professions State Board for Medicine for physicians accepts our EVERY COURSE because there are no specific requirements or restrictions.
New York State Board of Dentistry for dental professionals accepts our ADA COURSES because our course satisfies their rules.
New York State Office of Children and Family Services Division of Child Care Services for child care providers accepts our CPR, First Aid because our course satisfies their rules.

RN license transfer, renewal & continuing ed

Each state needs a competent medical workforce to meet the needs of its citizens. However, the requirements for some health care professions are not the same in each state. That is why it is important to find out what is required of you as a future or current registered nurse before moving across state lines. Contact information is located at the bottom of this page.

Endorsements

New York doesn’t have a separate form for endorsement per se; however, you will have a few more steps to take in addition to filling out the initial application for a license in New York.

Below are a few general requirements you will need for licensure:

Proof of completion of an approved RN training program
Completion of a mandatory course in identification and reporting of child abuse
Completion of an infectious control course
Complete application with fee of $143.00
Proof of education
Proof of passing NCLEX or State Board Test Pool Exam results from either Nursys or from the jurisdiction in which you took one of the exams
Verification of licensure (you may use Nursys if your state participates)

Your license will be valid for life unless it is revoked.

In-person training

	Blended class	Classroom
Format	This is a personalized and adaptive class completed online with a computer. After the class you will schedule with an instructor to complete the hands-on portion of the class.	This is a traditional classroom class with an instructor.
Course completion	Complete the online portion + hands-on skills session with an AHA Instructor.	Contact a Training Center in your area to sign up for an instructor-led class, see above
Time	The online portion of HeartCode BLS can be completed in approximately 1 to 2 hours. Time to complete the hands-on skills session varies around approximately 60 minutes, depending on your experience level.	A full BLS provider course can take 4.5 hours to complete, including skills practice and skills testing.
